  • How would you explain your role here at Exsilio to a stranger? I work with stakeholders that want software solutions. My team specializes in providing data on sales team’s accounts. We help the teams find out where are opportunities for new sales. Our job consists of gathering up the requirements of what a stakeholder wants, all the way through deployment.
  • What does a typical work day look like for you? Lots of candy and snacks! On the work side, I am working mostly on databases and a little web. I am constantly communicating with our stakeholders, or with people who have questions with our reports that we created. When I step away from my computer, I grab a coworker for a quick ping pong match.
  • What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most? Definitely the people I get to work with. They are really fun to be around and motivate me to be a better developer every day. I always get my hands on the latest versions of technology. It is also really fulfilling for me that my work enables our stakeholders to make real business decisions on a daily basis.
  • What is the most valuable lesson you have learned so far at Exsilio? There are a few things. The first being how to work with stakeholders. Also the importance of culture in terms of working environment. It is so much more important to be in a place where I keep learning and genuinely enjoy coming into work every day, rather than just chasing a paycheck.
  • What makes a great Exsilio employee? Someone who is able to adapt to a changing environment. Our stakeholders will throw us curveballs and we need to be ready for them. Because of how fast paced our environment is, it is crucial that Exsilio employees have a passion for learning. Also, if you are personable and have a good sense of humor, you will fit in really well here.
  • What has been your favorite experience at Exsilio? We have some great outside events. Last year all of us got to go to Cabo on a company trip. It was a blast. I also really enjoyed the first year that we went to Mammoth for a ski trip. Really anytime that we can all hang outside of work.
  • What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of work? I love basketball. I try to play as much as possible. Video games are also a huge hobby of mine.
  • What is your favorite activity to do in Orange County? Besides basketball? I love to go out at night and hang out with friends. OC has some amazing restaurants.
  • Food that you can’t live without? I almost love French fries more than life itself. Also, in my humble opinion, Chocolate should be its own food group.
  • If you were to plan your dream vacation, where would you be going? I would travel all over Japan and eat everything I get my hands on.
  • Favorite Game (board or video)? For board game, I love Monopoly Deal. We play it at the office a lot on our breaks or after work. For video games, StarCraft is my favorite.
